Run For Vision join hands with Green Room Theatre

Run For Vision, a Non Profit company working for eradication of blindness from the society, has joined hands with theatre artists of Green Room Theatre (GRT) Cultural Society to drive home the importance of donating eyes.

Run For Vision, a CSR initiative by Advance Group of Companies has been working actively to create awareness about merits of eye donations and is ready to take the artistic route to drill the message across theatre lovers and the masses.

Mr Ashok Mahindru, Chairman Run For Vision, said ‘’Corneal blindness a  huge human problem existing throughout the country. We are on a mission to eradicate curable blindness from the country.’’

‘’As a responsible corporate citizen, Advance Group’s CSR has always been about walking the extra mile for the needy. I believe eye donation is one of the most noble causes to be contributing to because if a person is given a chance to see and experience the world, then he experiences freedom and in many cases the person becomes the bread earning member in the family,’’ added Mr Ashok Mahindru, who leads the initiative at Run For Vision.

Ashok mahindruNeelanjana Banerjee, Joint Secretary and one of the leading artists in Green Room Theatre, says, ’’Over time, through our shows, we have realised that we can do a lot more. Partnering with good corporate citizens like Advance Group’s MD Mr Ashok Mahindru can provide an opportunity to send out social messages to our audience and patrons. The Run For Vision’s noble endeavour of promoting eye donation is a message we at GRT too, believe in, and hence it is our pleasure to send out that message through our souvenirs and other visual publicity.’’
